Lionfish University sponsored the 6 traps built by ReefSave volunteers with Dr. Steve Gittings, NOAA at the TRAP BUILD EVENT on 9 - 10 FEB 2019 in Mechanicsville, VA. The built included testing the build procedure for the first ever "no-weld" purse trap, version 7 as well as they performance.

Traps #12 to #17 are the version 7, "No Weld" NOAA Lionfish Purse Traps. Built for the purpose of testing in the Atlantic Ocean on 6 MAY 2019 in Moreshead, N.C. prior to the 22 JUNE 2019 return to Bequia for the 2019 Bequia Lionfish Trap Testing Project.
